Aik Sitam Aur Episode 44 Written Update & Review

Naeema is going strong with her hating game. She doesn’t even let Zainab and Ushna join the family for dinner. Wahab surprises me more than Naeema. He blames things on Naeema.

“You brought Zainab in my life and Ushna into Shehroz’s,” Wahab says

At least Shehroz is a strong man who sides with his wife.

“Don’t say a word about Ushna, ” Shehroz says.

I wike his stance and I approve of his confidence.

Ushna keeps crying, whining, sulking and complaining that Zainab never told the truth about her mother. And, I keep rolling my eyes. Kitna koi annoying heroine hai na?

Sadaf and Sufiyan are celebrating now that Ushna’s grandmother Shaista Begum has ruined things for Ushna. These psycho siblings make me cringe.

Raeesa and Rafaqat are changed people (for now) and they have the best interest of Zainab and Ushna, just because Zainab has taken out Sufiyan’s name from their complaint. They are doing their best to please Zainab, not that it’s helping Zainab one bit.

Mehnaz and Shujaat on the other hand, are stoll trying to save their asses. I often wonder whether Shujaat is the good guy or the bad guy, but I lean towards “bad guy” because he is such a thali ka baingan and keeps changing his stance every now and again.

Not impressed with this episode. I want this drama to end soon.

Review

I know I have said this before, but I will reiterate myself. If this drama’s story can repeat in a circle, why can’t I do the same? This drama was slow in the beginning, promising and exciting in the middle, but now it is just dragging and sagging. Now, Shehroz and Ushna are pushed aside and pSycho Sufiyan and Nagging Naeema have taken the center stage. Don’t let the villains be the main character of your story, I would say.

“This story is toxic and all its characters are toxic”, and the previous statement doesn’t do justice to just how toxic it is. Does Rehana Aftab specializes in writing toxic people and toxic stories? (That’s 5 toxics :D)

The previous Rehana Aftab drama Ishq Hai had been immensely popular, albiet primarily for wrong reasons. I am still  occasionally tempted to watch that drama. Does that make me toxic? I haven’t watched a single episode, but the temptation is there. Just saying.

  1. I kinda sense that, and that’s why I lean towards watching dramas that are popular for “good” reasons 😀

  2. Liza Joel says:

Ishq hai just effed up my brain. It’s so illogical and Minaj khans meh acting made it horrible
