It is time to review episode 20 of Ghisi Piti Mohabbat. 

Asmara is cleaning the house and she finds the divorce papers. He is friendly with Rubeena and Asmara, though. The quiet before the thunder. I laughed when Shoaib said, “I wish I could find a suitable man for you.” I know, I am sick!

Basharat is readying for his nikaah. Amtul makes a ton of excuses so she doesn’t have to attend the wedding. I like that Basharat is very clear in his head about what he wants. Amtul and her kids are Basharat’s responsibility but he loves Samia as well. He can keep the two things apart, which is rare with men’s depiction on screen. We always see men either zan-mureed or mama’s boy.

But, he does go a little overboard. Samia and him are married. They reach home, only to find that Amtul is trying to commit suicide.  Only trying, because they reach just in time. Then, Basharat says something that is inappropriate on so many levels. 

He says, “If something were to happen to you, I would have commited a suicide as well.”

No, Basharat, not cool!
