PLOT SUMMARY & COMMENTARY
Wajdan is back from hospital, and Imtiaz is back from the jail. Rasheda doesn’t waste moment and informs Wajdan that Kashf has agreed to sit at Matee-ullah’s sanctuary. Wajdan flips out, as we would have expected. He blames everything on Kashf, and Kashf is back to being the tame girl we’ve known her to be. Where is the decisive girl from episode 27?
I like how Imtiaz changes his stance and talks sweetly to Matee-ullah. Oh, by the way, Kashf covers her head in front of Wajdan, but not in front of Matee-ullah. Why?
Then begins a tiring melodrama where Wajdan throws tantrums at Kashf. And, as expected, Wajdan divorces her. The dream was a symbol. It was death of Kashf’s love and happiness.
Her family isn’t worried or sad about her divorce. They’re worried how she’d attend the sanctuary now. What the?
Wajdan loses his mind and Kashf isn’t talking to anyone. His family wants money from her, and that’s all.
Just one issue with this episode- too many things happened too fast. Wajdan’s crazy, Kashf is not talking to her family or her mureeds. Meh!
Also, a continuity problem: even though she’s in iddat and Imtiaz categorically says she wouldn’t meet any men, we see a man sitting inside among other women.
