Plot Summary & Review

I want to start this review by praising how terrific Bilal Abbas Khan is. But let’s begin at the beginning.

This episode begins as Mahjabeen is playing marbles and making khayali pulao at the same time. Now that she’s engaged, she wants the world to know. In her happiness, she doesn’t even notice her mother’s sarcasm.

He’s a fake doctor but he has realized that Mahjabeen is too simple for him.

This episode also introduces one more interesting character – Nilo. Nilo introduces her to the world of Facebook, even charges her a registration fee. Our naïve heroine agrees to give money to get an account on Facebook just so she would announce her engagement to the world.

Abdullah is still after Shanzey, even though she has made it clear that she isn’t interested in him. Bhai apna is quite adamant and he keeps calling her. Bilal Abbas is so good. I don’t want the scene to change. I wouldn’t mind if the story only focusses on him. He’s shy and coward, persistent and perseverant, and obsessed with Shanzey.

We meet Shanzey’s father, the lovely Khalid Anum as Mir Sahab.

Abdullah’s mother calls Mahjabeen home to do some shopping for her. Our dear Mahjabeen tells Abdullah that her fiancé is madly in love with her. Bhai waah! Both are naïve, live in a bubble and can’t see the reality.

Abdullah shares his feelings about Shanzey with Mahjabeen. To make him feel better, she offers to set him up with one of her classmates. Abdullah is very loyal to Shanzey. So, this proposition upsets him and he fights with her, again.

Sarwar tells his mother that he likes Munshi’s daughter. She isn’t happy. Omair Rana is handsome and his menacing side makes him look more charming, if that makes sense.

He is all set to talk to Munshi but learns that Mahjabeen is engaged. He also gets a call from Mir and knows about Shanzey. He comes home and beats the shit out of him. Poor Abdullah.
