Sirf Shabana | Episode 20

Sirf Shabana presents the story of an educated, independent yet deeply sensitive young woman who longs for a simple but powerful right: to have her own name stand alone, without being defined by a father or a husband. Her journey unfolds as a courageous fight against societal norms, legal barriers, and emotional struggles, as she strives to claim an identity that truly belongs to her.

Sirf Shabana Episode 20 Written Update and Review

Kabeer is such a red flag, now the colour of flag is getting darker and darker. I don’t think anybody except a psycho would side with Kabeer on the way he talked to Shabana just because he promises Mannu to help find Bilal, her childhood friend, from the same city. Of course, for Kabeer, it was wrong. He was right in going out of his way, way out of his way in helping a woman he met once. ONCE.
What I liked was that Shabana didn’t hesitate from still talking to Mannu, trying to locate Bilal. No matter the circumstances, she doesn’t shy away from what’s right, or what’s her responsibility. Kudos for depicting such a practical, and might I add kick-ass, heroine.
Kabeer shows his jealous (and awful) side again once Bilal is found and Shabana and him are having a heart to heart. He eavesdrops, interrupts the conversation and shows off his money and resources. Our Bilal isn’t as simple as he looks, though. He refuses the offer and gives a befitting reply, do watch the episode to enjoy that.
Coming back to the “heart to heart conversation”, Bilal thinks that Shabana doesn’t value. He is heartbroken and all, but he shouldn’t judge Shabana. I, however, got a strong sense that Bilal and Shabana would end up together. Kabeer is just blah.
During an argument, Shabana says: sahi kaha thha tum ne. Behtar hai ki hum abhi baat na karein, mazeed nazron se na gir jao tum.
Well said, sistah!
All of that is predictable to a certain extent. It was, however, the brothers subplots that were most interesting. Second of all, Jamal talks to Ayesha the way he should have all these years, putting her into her place. And first of all, Yumna’s brother Ahmad settles score with Salaar. The expressions on Salaar’s face alone were worth watching the episode. Bhai waah! Ahmad for the win.
Dorab is great in this role. I’d love to see him in a rich, suave, businessman role some day.
And that’s all I have to say on episode 20 of Sirf Shabana.
Salaam!!!
This is post #7500 on this blog. Woohoo!
