Sirf Shabana | Episode 18

Sirf Shabana presents the story of an educated, independent yet deeply sensitive young woman who longs for a simple but powerful right: to have her own name stand alone, without being defined by a father or a husband. Her journey unfolds as a courageous fight against societal norms, legal barriers, and emotional struggles, as she strives to claim an identity that truly belongs to her.

Sirf Shabana Episode 18 Written Update and Review

Bilal and Jamal

Jamal’s wife Aiman is one…piece of work. She treats Bilal so poorly. Bilal has gotten a book publishing deal and is making good progress on that front, but when he comes home, the house is locked, because Jamal’s family is out for dinner and Aiman did NOT trust to leave Bilal with her jewellery etc. WTH?

It was disheartening to see our bechara hero making do with his circumstances, sleeping in the waiting room of the apartment building. On that, again, Jamal has an objection: tum me meri bizzti karwa di.

The watchman guy seems to have some importance. Bilal thanked him, tipped him, and I somehow got a feeling that this guy will help Bilal in future.

Shabana

Salaar finds out about Yumna representing Shabana’s case. He first verbally abuses Yumna and then pushes her, she loses consciousness (but Nimra still made sure to not use her right hand because Yumna is not supposed to, which I liked very much). Shabana calls Yumna, learns about the incident and rushes to help.

At the hospital, the doctor is sharp enough to know it’s a police case and encourages Shabana to file a complaint. Shabana convinces Yumna to get phone number of brother (whose name I forgot), calls the brother, relays the news… Long story short, the brother and sister reconcile and things are looking ok on Yumna front.

Shabana and Kabeer

So, now things are almost sorted, and Shabana is taking to Yumna’s brother. It’s at this point that Kabeer comes up, and rudely says:

I’m waiting downstairs.

Bhai, itna attitude kis baat ka? Teri baiko nahin hai woh, not trust you get to show attitude to your wife for no apparent reason.

Review

Second of all, so much has happened in this episode and still it doesn’t overwhelm the viewer. Compare that to Dr Bahu Episode 18 and I start to choke a little.

First of all, Kabeer is a walking talking near-red flag. He is handsome and rich and is very very caring but he has flaws, big ones. Bilal lacked the courage to stand up for Shabana when she needed and Kabeer standup for Shabana but then the way he treats Shabana afterwards is not so nice.

I still ship Bilal and Shabana.

And this review was supposed to be posted last Monday. Funny things happen when you forget to press one single button, like my PTO request mail didn’t get through, or the OOO message not been set. Such things happen when you have a million things to do and your brain can process only a few.

Now, we watch episode 20 of Sirf Shabana.
