If you had thought that the lockdown will stop people from bursting firecrackers in the middle of the night for celebrating Ambedkar Jayanti, you couldn’t be more wrong. It has been 24 minutes and people are still going at it, even howling like dogs.
Some people must be wondering, who thinks about such silly details?
I do, because I have problem with noise, especially the one that disrupts unassuming unrelated people like me.
Why do people celebrate by making noise?
I had watched our CM Udhhav Thakrey’s video on Twitter when he talked about extending the lockdown until April 30. He also assured that if Indians sustain their newfound calm and composure, they can beat not just Coronavirus but also emerge as a new power. I paraphrase, of course, but that was the gist.
With all due respect, I disagree. Until Indians begin to respect fellow Indians and be considerate towards them, we cannot progress. Nah!
This day is already off to a bad start.
