Drama Review: Dil Mom Ka Diya (Episode 30)

Dil Mom Ka Diya, drama is directed by Shahid Shafat, airing on ARY Digital.

The drama has been written by our very own Saira Raza. I have not read much written by her. But whatever I have, I have been immensely entertained.

Review:

Quickly then

  1. Tamkinat and Azhar angle is dragging. Azhar keeps apologizing and Tamkinat recounts all the torture that she has suffered through past four years.
  2. Ulfat’s husband Tipu is suffering and asks her to seek further help, from people who still have fear of Allah. And, of course, she think of Afzal.
  3. Akmal’s scene with Ulfat is superbly done.
  4. Azhar / Imran Ashraf is so freaking good.

Verdict:

The series started with Ulfat, focused on Ulfat and ended on Ulfat. What I liked about the series, in particular is how the last episode closed all the open ends. Akmal and Afzal both realize the importance of forgiving.

Ulfat’s character was beautiful. She was headstrong. She took no nonsense from men when she was living with her family. The only glitch in her was that she thought only about herself. Just the act of being selfish sort of destroyed so many lives – emotionally, psychologically and physically.

In short, she was rather hatable and Neelum did a terrific job essaying the role.

If it didn’t feel so dragged and melodramatic in the middle, the content is rather enjoyable.

What do other feels about this drama?

Happy Watching!
