Reading Pile | July 2026

These are the books I plan to read in July 2026. We all know I will do something else entirely as some book cover, book title or book blurb entices me. That’s what happened to June reading pile, y’know.

June Reading Pile Status

  • Wimpy Kid #6: I finished this one, also picked up the next one Wimpy Kid #7 because I was enjoying the doodles and the dry humour. Review yet to be posted.
  • Arsenic For Tea: Parked aside in favour of two random books from bookshelf. Have finished reading Janet Evanovich’s Plum Lucky, halfway through M.C. Beaton’s Hot to Trot (Agatha Raisin #31). Yes, these are physical books.
  • Little Women: I’ve been pushing it aside since July 2025, IIRC. No more, no more pushing aside. We finish it this month. I said it last month, but I’m kinda hoping to read the physical book, and trying to get one. Parking aside, again.

July Reading Pile

At least that’s the plan…

  • Finish M.C. Beaton’s Hot to Trot (Agatha Raisin #31). Physical copy, reducing screentime and all that.
  • Finish Arsenic For Tea: Continuing the middle-grade spree after wimpy kid. Also, the ache for reducing screen time and reading a physical book.
  • Wimpy Kid #8 because we love Greg Heffley. I might also pick the next one because that’s how my mind works. I have ebooks on my iPad.
  • The Fourth Protocol by Frederick Forsyth: Physical copy. Frederick Forsyth’s was the first English novel I read (title long forgotten: it was about a rogue ex-officer), and was thoroughly amazed. so I want to go back and have that same feeling.
