Book Description

Could she out-play the player? Chess champ she may be, but a nervous nerd? No way.

When heart-breaker Nate targets her cousin as his next conquest, Ellie is determined to foil his schemes. Getting Nate to switch his attention to her seemed like a good plan, but she didn’t count on having to protect her own heart too.
Midnight meetings, fighting or kissing, it’s all part of the fun of flirting. Ellie soon discovers that boys are more complicated than classes, and you have to play the game well or you might just get played!

Fun and flirty young adult romantic comedy set in a British boarding school. Book one of eight.

Plot Summary

Max Carlisle is a prodigy, reluctant to bask in the glory of his ancestors. He wants to do something new.

Hallie is a photographer wanting to make it big, hopes to work in a big publication company. She’s hired, but not for the job. To be a fake fiance for the heir.

Max has to take his girlfriend for his grandfather’s birthday bash. Hallie agrees.

She finds out about his insane and evil family. His grandfather has set up an elaborated treasure hunt and whoever wins will win his entire empire. That’s when it gets crazier.

Review

There is abundance. The hero is rich and the heroine is smart. They have a treasure hunt and everytime you feel like things are sorted, there is another twist thrown in.

Max’s family is really crazy, like cringe-worthy crazy. And, no… despite their good start, Max and Hallie don’t win the treasure hunt.

They do something much more meaningful, though.

And, happily ever after.

See in next review.
