Episode 2 Drama Review and Written Update
The Aftermath
Rabi is mourning. Mourning the loss of her childhood love, the end of her engagement.
And then, her brother, Iqbal, makes an entry. He is mighty pissed. Pissed at Rabi, for engaging in this love with Mateen. He even strangles Rabi. Haye Allah! Humay aesa bhai khabi na dey. Ameen.

If there is one thing in Pakistani Dramas I don’t get and find cringe, is the concept of Ghairat. I just don’t get it. But again, I guess living in that kind of society just twist people’s mindset.

Mateen has no clue as to what had happened. Why everyone is turning a cold shoulder on to him. Sara spots Mateen, as usual waiting for Rabi, and schools him. Begs him.

Shuja Asad is just so good looking!

Saima, surprisingly, is an understanding mother. She acknowledges Rabi’s feelings. She even justifies her actions.
I’ve tolerated that woman for 8 years. She kept insulting me each time. But I will not hear a single word against my daughters.
Now, this is what I want to see in dramas. Layers. Reasoning. Is it too much to ask? Anywho.
Saima goes over to Sajjida’s house and she begs Sajjida to find a proposal for Rabi. Sajjida says, why look at outsiders when I have a proposal in our home?
Saima is elated. She asks Sajjida to quickly bring Dawood’s proposal for Rabi.

Mateen, in shock, runs to meet Rabi. Rabi and Mateen have such electrifying chemistry. It’s off the charts!

Meanwhile, Dawood is on cloud nine when Sajjida tells him that Saima has accepted Rabi’s proposal. I mean Sami Khan looks so handsome here!
Something about Sami Khan in glasses that makes him more attractive.

Later, Mateen and Rabi meet secretly. Sara comes to Rabi and tells her the news that Saima has accepted Dawood’s proposal for her. Rabi is heartbroken. She runs back home. Mateen too follow her home and another scene is created.

Iqbal pushes Rabi aside which caused her to bleed. Saima and Sara tries to salvage their fight.
Drama Review
Pyar Deewangi Hai does continue to impress. The intrigue value increases again and I am very curious and intrigued.
The acting is on point. Shuja Asad, the new kid, is really impressing me. He should act in more dramas.
Sami Khan and Neelam Muneer are all so good in their element.
The only issue I have with this drama is the blackface of Gul e Rana ji. I don’t condone such acts. Why not cast someone as dark-skinned? Also, the consistency is just not there.
Other than that, Pyar Deewangi Hai continues to impress at a steady pace.
