I was watching some clips of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi, as I am an admirer of Imran Ashraf’s work. I reconsidered my decision of not watching the drama.

True, the storyline is miles away from the novel.

True, it is a heartbreaking story.

But it also promises to be brilliant. It is one of the most trending dramas on YouTube.

So, dear readers, I am going to review this series, starting this week. Once I finish, I will also post about the differences between the novel and the script.

The drama is based on the novel Daasi Dholan Yaar Di by Faiza Iftekhar. I have read the novel and totally loved it. You can read the review here.

While the promos look great and the cast is brilliant, I’m not going to watch this drama.

I don’t want to ruin that memory. No offence to the makers but I did watch the first episode and the plot seems to have been tweaked for the screen.

By all means, go and watch it. You will be surprised by the twists and the satire, romance and the heartache.
