The last time I posted a shopping haul, I had vowed to control my Amazon splurge to a minimum.
And I did that, until June 2022.
Let’s talk about the hiatus for a minute. It wasn’t a hiatus. It was a 6 weeks long pilgrimage to the holy cities of Makkah Mukarramah and Madinah Munawwarah. So, I decided to go crazy while preparing for this spiritual journey.
While most of the prepation was spiritual in nature, I also wanted to buy a few new dresses for the holy journey. I splurge on clothes all the time. I should probably spend more whilst I’m going for this ziyarat of Al Masjid Al Haram and Al Masjid Al Nabawi.
This is the first dress I liked and ordered. Then, this one caught my eye. The colour is so soft and cool.
It has three-quarter sleeves which I love, and it comes with pants that has elastic (elastic is a must in bottoms). So, I went for it. It arrived within three days.
Review (5 weeks later)
It’s not worth the money, and I can’t wear again. This fabric is so thin, I can’t even begin. The pink colour bleeds and the pant is ruined in one wash. The kurta is fine, but overall it can’t be worn again. After spending 450, I can’t wear it again. Don’t buy it even if it is for 100. After wearing it thrice during my visit to Makkah Mukarramah and Madinah Munawwarah, it looks too old to be worn. I can’t wear it in office etc now.
Not so happy with this purchase.
PS: this isn’t an affiliate post. I shared about it because I am a genuine buyer and Amazon aficionado.
