Non-Review Rant
I haven’t reviewed any Eid-special telefilm since 2022, the last one being Telefilm Review | Siwaiyyan | Eid-ul-Fitr Day 2 | ARY DIGITAL TV. After watching the first Eid 2025 telefilm, I wanted to give the second one a try.

Recap
The Soup
Armaan’s family is seen flustered as the police forced to vacate their house, even throwing their stuff out.
Arzoo asks Shibli to bring Armaan who’s fast asleep. This frame where Armaan is seen sleeping, is important. He wakes up, but by then, the damage is done.
The House
Armaan meets his realtor friend Jabbar who’s also married to Armaan’s cousin Shirin. Armaan explains how he’s in dire need of a new rented house, and how he convinced the neighbours to keep their belongings temporarily.
Jabbar shows Armaan a house, and it’s eerie presence is felt even to us viewers, especially when Armaan sees Nain Tara for the first time.
The Fiancee
We meet Armaan’s fiancee Shakeela who insists on being addressed as Sheela. Sheela had a run-in with law when she was arrested for selling harmful beauty products (it was Armaan’s idea). Ever since the arrest, her clientele has reduced. Sheela tries to revive her business by posting on social media, but that doesn’t help, either. Sheela also has a quirk of speaking English (incorrectly) and put on a fake business voice when talking to clients.
The Neighbours
They move in, and Arzoon befriends Nain Tara and even invites herself for dinner. Armaan is full-on flirting with Nain Tara. Later, Armaan asks Nain Tara to knit a sweater for her. He starts ignoring Sheela and her calls.
Babu Ji who keeps recalling his mashooqa Qamrunnisa. Tamanna isn’t too happy to hear about her husband’s rangeen past.
And then he meets her.
Shibli once catches Qamrunnisa torturing Babu Ji with a chabuk (whip doesn’t have that feeling, no?)
Overall, the whole family gets the vibe that something’s off with this bhootiya family.
The Twist
Qamrunnisa warns Armaan against using the house to TV folks. Armaan doesn’t listen. When he brings the party to show the house, the power goes off and they are showered with chappals. The producer calls the deal off.
The family notices whip marks on Babu Ji’s hands. He also disappears once. Then, he confesses that he liked his colleague Qamrunnisa.
But he ditched her for a richer girl, something that Armaan is also planning to do: ditch Sheela for Nain Tara.
Armaan brings Jabbar to show Nain Tara’s portion of the house, and to convince them to let the TV channel shoot their drama. Jabbar laughs at Armaan, saying that the house has been locked for years.
And then Armaan wakes up from deep slumber.
~ The End ~
Favourite Moments
1. Nain Tara’s attempt to get Armaan’s attention. She goes back to the door thrice and walks to him. It was so funny.
2.
Nain Tara to Arzoo: Bewa ki ek din ki zindagi biwi ki salon ki zindagi se behtar hai
Although, this line has no bearing on the rest of the episode.
3. Babu Ji sings “Woh jab yaad aaye, bahot yaad aaye” song for his mashooqa Qamrunnisa.
4. Sheela’s makeup skills: The below is her attempt at making her client look “gulabi gulabi”.
Scares
- Disappearing Nain Tara many times with Armaan and Arzoo
- Invisible slap to Arzoo when she was making fun of Nain Tara’s name
- Shibli sees the moving easy chair in the yard and then suddenly Qamrunnisa appears there
- Sudden power cut and door locking on Armaan
- invisible people throwing chappals at the director/producer guy and his team
Review
Horror is so not my thing, and I was skeptical going in, but it was unpredictable, scary AF and funny too.
I liked the ARY references that were littered throughout the telefilm. Some I noted were:
- Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum: This one was even playing on TV when Armaan’s family visited Nain Tara’s for dinner.
- Dil Lagi
- Habs
- Kuch Ankahi
- Balma bhagoda song
I loved, loved, LOVED how the telefilm ended; don’t worry, I’m not going to spoil it for y’all. Although I’m not a fan of unfinished stories, this one worked for me.
