First and foremost, I apologize for late review. I was on vacation and was travelling yesterday. I, therefore, could not view or review the episode.
Dastaan-e-Moomal Rano, The Sketches
I haven’t googled, but I think this is the first time ‘The Sketches’ is performing in Coke Studio. I have seen them win awards in various award shows; so they are good, or popular, for sure.
I don’t understand the lyrics, again. Moomal Rano is a painful and heart wrenching tale. The song is a good depiction of pain. Seriously, this song was painful to listen to.
The vocals are good.

Malang
The famous duo of Season 10 – Baazi, Sahit Ali Bagga and Aima Baig pair up again this time for ‘Malang’. I don’t understand the lyrics.
Blame it on the lyrics or was he just a tad bit louder and screechy than Roye Roye, I didn’t like Sahir Ali Bagga’s vocals in this one. Similarly, Aima’s portion in this song also reminded me a lot of the earlier duet – Baazi. To a large extent, I felt that it is the same song. Perhaps after a few replays, I will get the groove. For now, this one is not for me.

Dil Hai Pakistan
And the rockstar Ali Azmat is back.
The song… is really two distinct songs. The first one starts with a strange, nostalgic, cyclic, repetitive vocals by
Mangal, Darehan and Shayan
Dambora as he describes beauty and love. starts
The vocals are good. I like the tune as well. This song would have been another one that I would play repeatedly, if only there was no or very little music. I think the loud music just killed the essence of this otherwise beautiful composition.
Rating: 4/5 stars.
Other observations:
- Dil Hai Paksitan is definitely star of this episode.
- My favourite from all three episodes is Ghoom Charakhra and Roye Roye now.
- Mahi Aa Ja gets a special mention. I’m Asim’s fan.
