About Aik Mohabbat Aur
Aik Mohabbat Aur is a story of Khushbakht, a strong and determined ACP officer who has already seen the painful side of love. After a love marriage that couldn’t survive the test of time, she returns to her parents home with her young daughter and the scars of a broken relationship. Instead of comfort, she finds herself living under constant judgment, where her presence is often seen as a burden rather than a daughter seeking support. These experiences slowly make her lose faith in love and companionship.
On the other side is Haroon, A principled journalist who believes in truth and depth rather than superficial choices. Pressured by his mother to settle down, He struggles to find someone who truly connects with his heart and values. His life takes an unexpected turn when a case brings him face to face with ACP Khushbakht.
While working around the same investigation, Haroon is drawn to Khushbakht’s courage, dignity and the silent strength with which she carries her past. For Haroon, it becomes love but for Khushbakht, love is a chapter she believes has already ended. Now begins Haroon’s emotional journey to break the walls around Khushbakht’s heart and prove that sometimes life gives a second chance.

Aik Mohabbat Aur Episode 1 Written Recap and Review
We meet Haroon, who’s scheduled interview is cancelled, and he twists his way around to still go ahead. He lives separately from his family, and is shown to have some sort of bitter-ish relationship with them.
We see Khushbakht at work as ACP, who’s trying to maintain work-life balance. She lives separately from her family, having presumably married against their choice, and is shown to have some sort of bitter-ish relationship with them.
Haroon asks to run one of Khushbakht’s interview out-of-context. She gets reprimanded from her boss, and listens. She calls him to have a word, and then he’s shot, because he refused to give his phone to mobile-snatchers.
Is it just me or do others also find his expressions a bit unusual?

Review
Second of all, is Farooq Rind and Omair Rana connected somehow? I haven’t watched many Farooq Rind dramas, except Pyaar Ke Sadqay and Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay and Omair Rana was in both of them. Also, basis the two dramas I’ve watched, I know they are going to draaaag the story, or as we say here at my house: kahani ko lapa denge, unnecessarily.
And first of all, what’s the matter with poorly-lit sets in this drama? Why do most sets have very poor lighting? I mean, checkout the cast and characters post, I couldn’t capture many of them in good light.
Also, what’s the matter with these channels? Why broadcasting winter dramas during summer. Seeing Ahad Raza Mir in cap, scarf, jacket made me want to shrug and run to splash water on my face.
The episode was pure exposition, showed enough, but felt very very slow-paced. I watch things on 2X, mind you. Also, I had a feeling bahot raita phaila diya hai pehli hi episode mein. Itne log? It reminded me of Dil Na Ummeed to Nahin. I watched the first episode, was overwhelmed, and didn’t watch any other episode.
Long story short, don’t have high hopes from this. I’m setting it up for 5 episodes, MAX.
Next episode: Episode 2
