Eid Mubarak one and all!
May Allah bless us all with many more Ramadans and Eids.
It started on Tuesday evening with a a debate between me and my siblings. I was sure that the moon will be sighted and Eid will be celebrated on 5th. Everybody opposed it. Two hours later, I was laughing at them.
The first three hours went by without registering. My younger sister was doing a facial at home as Ammi and I prepared for the morning feast – sheer khurma and Biryani. My brothers, although adults were acting crazy like kids. One small grocery list took them four rounds to the store, as they kept forgetting one item or the other.
I love the colour of henna, it’s smell, and how it makes my hands look beautiful for a change. This year, I let two novices try and experiment on my hands.
Strangely, both were referring to the same pattern.
We slept around five in the morning and got up two hours later. It is crazy.
But it is just the beginning.
Eid Mubarak from me and my family to yours.
