Chand Tara Episode 1 Written Update & Review

Assalam Alaikum dear readers,

It’s Shabana Mukhtar, back again with another recap and review of Chand Tara’s latest episode. And let me tell you, my patience is being tested more than ever with this show.

I realize that I have already ranted enough in the previous episode’s review, so this will be short and simple. Right now, it’s time to focus on Hashir and Rumi’s wedding. Since they are social media stars, their focus is less on the ceremony and more on getting the right pics and right videos for their fans. Their “fans frenzy” is getting to my nerves.

There was a song and dance sequence, something that I have already scoffed at in my review of first episode of Tere Aany Se. I still don’t understand why do we promote dancing etc in dramas? Why do we promote dancing etc in “Ramzan special” dramas?

Other than the celebrations, there were a few scenes at the hospital. If we keep the issue of “joint family vs nuclear family” aside, this drama also shows Dr Tara as a carefree/careless person, and this doesn’t suit a doctor’s sensibilities. I think Dr Raziya is right in admonishing Dr Tara. The doctor’s job is to focus and save patient’s lives, not be busy on the phone talking to her beau all the time. ALL.THE.TIME.

I mean, sure, it’s a rom-com, but let’s at least try to keep it somewhat realistic, shall we? I’m with Dr. Raziya on this one – doctors should be more focused on their jobs, not on their phones.

And as if that weren’t enough, the ending scene of the episode hints at the possibility of something between Rumi’s mother and Saarim’s father. Seriously, can we not just focus on the main plot of the show? Do we really need another subplot in this already mad rom-com?

Overall, this episode was just as frustrating as the last, if not more so. Honestly, I don’t think I enjoy this drama. I’m not sure how much more I can take of this, but I’ll soldier on and keep watching. After all, it’s my job to review these shows for you all.

That’s my take on the latest episode of Chand Tara. How do others feel about this episode?

Until next time, folks!
