Let’s review Deewar-e-Shab episode 24. Things are moving, finally and the story has started to overlap with the novel’s plot.
Please read about the cast and characters.
Plot Summary
Salaar returns to Karachi to find Khayyam. His conversation with Afsar Bhai is sweet and witty.
Izhar and family come to meet Salman but they are asked to park outside and wait until they are permitted to step in. Gul and Shakera are so dramatic. They are annoying. I wonder how Joya finds the guts to laugh at them. I guess she could only laugh, even if she wanted to say ‘shut the beep up’.
Shaista Begum is hell bent on torturing Ma’az. She pesters him to get married, whereas Rabiya still has hopes that Islam can to Izhar and fix things. Awnnn, naïve!
Sitara Jahan is ready to perform at a Mehfil-e-Ghazal. The spectator talk rubbish and every family member including Gaiti is infuriated. But Sandal’s reaction is the strongest. She blames everything on Nageena, again. Nageena is upset, again. Why don’t you slap her twice to shut her up? She’s your daughter, for goodness’ sake.
Ma’az and his team is discussing the intrusion of drug mafia. Sajid comes and asks for a leave. He’s involved with the drug circuit, as one would have expected. But Ma’az & Co. doesn’t know it yet.
Salaar is looking for Khayyam and reaches Babu Shaukat’s hotel. Khayyam sees him. Raju informs Khayyam and lets him run away without letting anyone know. I guess it was his way of finally being nice to Khayyam.
Salaar comes to his home. This the scene I have been waiting for. The servants love him and respect him. Salaar cares for them, genuinely. The man is the glue that holds everyone together.
This track is finally overlapping with the book.
