Let’s review the latest episode of Qissa Meherbano Ka. It’s based on Fakhra Jabeen’s short story Ujalon Ki Basti. You can read the story here, and my review is here. The drama is quite different from the story itself, so don’t be disheartened by my review even if it has some spoilers.

Qissa Meherbano Ka Episode 24 Written Review

The court case is still going on. Murad’s advocate presents Achhey Miyan aka Azhar Ali who tries to tarnish Meherbano’s image and character. The questioning with Mehrebano was cringy but necessary. I like, love, love Mehrebano’s statement. It was a bit of a drag towards the end and became more like a monlogue. We all know she will have a strong witness, but we need to wait for that.

On a side note, I don’t like why a woman lawyer is representing Murad Ali. I wish someone like Rubab in Aakhir Kab Tak who represented Fajar.

Back home, Fari is depressed and still unsure what she wants from life. Yep, we know that she will come forth to witness against Murad Ali.
And that’s game over.

The rest of the drama is just tying the lose ends.  I like how Fari’s track reaches a closure. Unlike the story this drama is based on, Mehran and Meherbano’s track doesn’t end on a “happily ever after” note, but there is a hope, and hope is enough.

Areej looks ravishing in that crimson salwar kameez towards the end.

Mashal Khan has performed extremely well in this drama. I have seen her in Suno Chanda as Kinza (her debut) and then in Thora Sa Haq which was so bleh. She impressed me in Parizaad, and now as Fari, she has entered my good books.

Ahsan Khan might have chosen a cringeworthy role, but he has aced it. Sometimes he was a bit loud, but overall, he got under the skin of the character.
