Review

This one is part of my “Coding Playlist”. I listen to some peppy and blood-pumping numbers to stay focused as I write thousands of lines of code. That’s partly true. Most of the time, I listen to music to tune out my freakishly loud colleagues. That’s right, I am imagining myself throwing a look of disgust, contempt and hatred at them as I type this.

I don’t know the reason. I just love the song. When the movie was released and for a good two years after that, I was addicted to the song. I was so addicted that I played it all day long as I coded.

I also sang along. Not literally, but I mouthed all the words. Are you wondering why I wouldn’t sing? The reason is two-fold. I can’t sing at my desk and disturb others. For the second reason, read this.

There is something in the music. The lyrics are simple and easy to remember. The chant of ‘Malang Malang’ and sargam in between adds to the euphoria.
Both singers have done a brilliant job. I like Shilpa Rao’s pieces better, but that may be just me.

What’s your go to song for coding?
