I did not post this yesterday, because my work week is still continuing. That’s right. I am at office today, taking interviews.

I don’t understand why the interviews are scheduled for the weekend.

1. It takes away from my precious me time. I get to catch on my sleep over the weekend and that is also ruined for this week.
2. That’s not my only problem. I have to shell out 400 bucks to be here (400 bucks is more than what I spend on food for 2 weeks). It is not compensated.
3. I don’t even get a complimentary day off.

Still, my firm talks proudly that they have work-life balance.

Now, I know what some readers may think. Shabana, quit whining. But, why?

I have given my feedback already. The weekend drive doesn’t work for me. But my superiors don’t like my opinion. They think I am too honest. Whatever!

This week people assigned me their work and left, also asking me to send an update, because I am at their service, aren’t I? I don’t mind working a bit extra, but I expect gratitude in return. Sometimes, even a thank you doesn’t cut it.
