Book Review: Alif – Complete Review (By Umera Ahmed)
Introduction I love when I read a novel about writers, or watch a movie about actors. Umera had not written a novel post Aab-e-Hayaat, which was about 3-4 years ago. I remember that because I had just moved to my apartment, my own apartment, around that time. My sisters and I used to discuss the abrupt ending over a cup of tea until late in the night. Ah,…

Drama Review: Chhoti Chhoti Batein – Dil Hi Tou Hai
Chhoti Chhoti Baatein is a series set to narrate disjoint stories, highlighting the small issues that often tend to ignore. Does that sound familiar? Read this. I liked Yasir Hussain and how his acting put an interesting twist to seemingly average story. This one, did NOT….

Drama Review: Ranjha Ranjha Kardi – Episode #31
Finale Episode, woo hoo! The last episode reiterates that nobody should be between Allah and banda when we ask from Him. And we should ask only from Allah. The conversation between Noori and Fehmeeda, well, more like a monologue was really nicely written and executed. Well done! We need that change in Muslim society. So, Noori refuses to…
Drama Review: Ranjha Ranjha Kardi – Episode #30
It is confrontation time. Noori kicks Sahir out. Fehmeeda has asked Nusrat to move out and he has agreed, still thinking of ways he can reverse the game. Sahir suggests the marriage to be preponed, just to make Noori jealous. Yeah, as if. Nusrat, goes the last mile and hits Bhola with his car. Bhola is…
