Tere Bin | Episode 55

Introduction

Tere Bin is a new drama on HAR PAL GEO (Well, it’s not that new). Here’s a snippet from Geo’s official YouTube channel.

Meerab is an ambitious and beautiful young girl who wants to pursue higher studies. Her entire world revolves around her parents and she believes in them the most. Her strong and confident personality makes her stand against social injustices around her.

On the contrary, Murtasim hails from a powerful and influential family. He respects and values the morals and traditions of his family and refuses to let the family down.

Meerab’s life takes an unexpected turn when she finds out about her family’s decision regarding her and Murtasim’s life. Meerab’s hatred towards Murtasim continues to grow as a family secret from the past resurfaces. Coming from different backgrounds and mindsets, Murtasim begins to realize Meerab’s arrogant behaviour towards him and begins to consider her a challenge for himself. On the other hand, Meerab who is used to living her life on her own terms refuses to accept Murtasim’s family traditions and unnecessary social barriers.

Soon their lives go through a series of emotional sufferings and misunderstandings where it becomes difficult for them to coexist. Despite their hatred towards each other, will Meerab and Murtasim accept their true feelings or will the dynamics of ego and self-respect force them to stay apart?

Tere Bin Episode 54 Written Update and Review

Assalam Alaikum dear readers,

Shabana Mukhtar here, to recap and review the latest episode of Tere Bin.

Excerpts from Episode 54 Review

This time, since I was so mighty miffed with the storyline, I watched the promo of episode 55. It shows that Murtasim would want to marry Haya, Meerub’s son is all grown up (no really, but the toddler they showed was like 8 months’ old). I can’t, I can’t take this anymore.

Ever since the Anas and Maryan track started, this drama has been spiralling down. And now, it has plonked to the ground and smashed into pieces.

I’m done with this. You wouldn’t find my reviews on Tere Bin henceforth.

But then…

Someone asked me for a review, and I couldn’t say no. I’m such a softie at heart, you see.

Let’s go. I will keep it short, I promise.

The BIG decision

I won’t go into much details, but Murtasim agrees to marry Haya. After engagement, Anwar comes and raises questions why they are blaming Meerub that she eloped. He asked the same question that I have been asking for the past 4 super dramatic flashback-filled episodes

Anwar: Kisi ne Meerub ko Rohail ke saath dekha kya?

Nobody has any response to this. Also, why are they talking as if once Murtasim marries Haya, his chance with Meerub is over? I mean, I hate Haya as much as any other viewer, but don’t these people know that Islam allows 4 wives at once? Or is Meerub’s ego so large that sharing Murtasim is not a possibility? Whatever it is, it paints a terrible picture of the main character who is already not my favourite.

Meerub’s fast-forward life

Meerub has a daughter with name Meesam. I think it’s a nice combination but isn’t Meesam a boy’s name? I know, it means “smiling, happy” and could be for both genders, but the “urf” is that it’s a boy’s name.

Anyway, these are my two cents on this episode.

So long, Tere Bin!
