Tere Bin | Episode 58

Introduction

Tere Bin is a new drama on HAR PAL GEO (Well, it’s not that new). Here’s a snippet from Geo’s official YouTube channel.

Meerab is an ambitious and beautiful young girl who wants to pursue higher studies. Her entire world revolves around her parents and she believes in them the most. Her strong and confident personality makes her stand against social injustices around her.

On the contrary, Murtasim hails from a powerful and influential family. He respects and values the morals and traditions of his family and refuses to let the family down.

Meerab’s life takes an unexpected turn when she finds out about her family’s decision regarding her and Murtasim’s life. Meerab’s hatred towards Murtasim continues to grow as a family secret from the past resurfaces. Coming from different backgrounds and mindsets, Murtasim begins to realize Meerab’s arrogant behaviour towards him and begins to consider her a challenge for himself. On the other hand, Meerab who is used to living her life on her own terms refuses to accept Murtasim’s family traditions and unnecessary social barriers.

Soon their lives go through a series of emotional sufferings and misunderstandings where it becomes difficult for them to coexist. Despite their hatred towards each other, will Meerab and Murtasim accept their true feelings or will the dynamics of ego and self-respect force them to stay apart?

Tere Bin Episode 58 Written Update and Review

Assalam Alaikum dear readers,

Shabana Mukhtar here, to recap and review the latest episode of Tere Bin.

Alright, alright, alright… So, the finale episode is here.

Finally!

Finally!!

Finally!!!

Let’s quickly recap.

The claim

So, Meerub arrives at the haveli, with Meesam in her arms, only to find that her hubby is marrying the woman who ruined their lives.

Haya does what she does best-spits venom for Meerub. Anwar gives Haya a shut up call, but Haya pushes Anwar away. I was half-expecting that either Meerub or Murtasim or someone would step ahead and slap Haya for the way she treated Anwar.

But they all stood there like mannequins.

I was so disappointed, because I had been looking forward for a slap ever since the promo for this episode was released.

Anywho!

Murtasim might have stayed calm when Haya pushed Anwar, but he doesn’t let Haya touch Meerub. No, ma’am, he can’t allow that.

Murtasim: She’s my wife, and that’s my daughter. Where she was all this while, who was she with, I don’t care. What matters is that she’s here.

Bhai, she was not with Rohail. Abhi tak yaqeen nahin aaya tujhe? Kaise hero banega re tu, chheh!

~

Family moments

We see some sweet moments between the trio-Meerub, Murtasim and Meesam. It wasn’t something that I was looking forward to, so I skipped through most of it, tbh.

Tying the loose knots

Ever since Meerub left the house and gave her gold chain to Farrukh, I had been waiting for this moment. And this moment arrived. Farrukh returns Meerub’s chain because:

Farrukh: I couldn’t sell it. It’s a symbol of someone’s love.

Yeah, load of BS.

Farrukh tells Murtasim why he hid the truth about Meerub. Yeah, you guessed it right.

Farrukh: Kyunki Meerub ne mana kiya thha

The confrontation

In last episode, Murtasim asked Haya if she knew where Meerub was. And, Haya’s response was: “If I was there when she left, Meerub would have been here.”

Liar, liar, pants on fire…

That lie was kinda catalyst in convincing Murtasim that he should marry Haya.

And now…

Murtasim: You lied to me once, now I’m asking again: Did you see Meerub leave that day?

To my surprise, Haya doesn’t lie this time. She easily could have, and we would have gone till Tere Bin episode 100, lekin story khatam karni hai, so Haya admits of being guilty.

Haya: I did this to get you because I love you, a LOT.

Girl, get your reasons right. She claims to love Murtasim, she also said she wanted to marry Murtasim for that ring, she mentioned her dreams of being the “malkin” of the haveli, and then she again claims to be in love. Haya is so confused. She should have an spin-off series where each episode is a new confusion of hers.

Just saying…

~

Out you go

Murtasim plays it cool, and takes the ring from Haya’s finger.

Murtasim: Maa Begum, you know what you have to do.

Maa Begum knows exactly what needs to be done–send Haya away, FOREVER.

~

Some rona-dhona

Murtasim and Meerub reminsce their past, forgive each other, and then gleefully talk to each other. The drama ends as Meerub goes out with a black jacket in her hand, presumably for her first class/first case?

Review

I have been wanting this drama to end for about 15 episodes. So, needless to say that I am thrilled when it ended. It did a fine job of bringing closure, especially when Anwar hugs Meerub. However, I had predicated that there will be some loose ends, such as never mentioning Waqas, Aneela and Maryam in the finale. They played crucial roles in the story. Kuch toh kehna thha un ke baare mein.

But… It’s over, and that’s what matters.

So, that was my take on the latest episode of Tere Bin, the last episode of Tere Bin.

So long!
